Home - What's New

Greetings from Badger Creek Members Club as we have entered our 12th hunting season together! The ranches are teeming with wild birds this year, especially Valley Quail that are flourishing in this area. Wild Hungarian Partridge are starting to spread and develop separate groups so it’s not uncommon to bust into several different bunches in a day. Wild pheasants are now being seen in areas that never held birds before as farmers in the area have been jumping back into a strong wheat market and this translates into better feed and habitat for upland birds.
Pictured above are members Steve, Dan and George along with friend Hadley who were able to spend the afternoon pass shooting Mourning Doves on their arrival after warming up on the 5-stand. The following morning we shifted gears and had an awesome day of Pheasant and Chukar hunting.

DEER HUNTERS fared very well this year as we took to the woods and various private ranches and ended up with some nice bucks. Brad Harder was fortunate to recover from a missing a big one the evening before and rallied to take a beautiful 4-point the following afternoon. Jay Tatro along with his dad sat in a blind and watched a really impressive 3x3 walk out to within 120 yards. Jay found the mark with one shot and bagged the first buck of his life! Great job!
The deadline to apply for the White River Buck Hunt is May 15, 2012 so mark that on your calendar for next season.

CANADIAN HONKERS are on the move and will produce some fantastic hunting in wheat stubble over decoys. Our ranches are loaded with wheat this year and the waterfowl cannot resist this table fare. Please let us know if you want to go this season and we will make sure to reserve a date for you.
